Listening to several clients inspired this..  This is Grace  from Coldwell Banker United, Realtors and these are my thoughts.
Let’s talk contractors.

Buying  a home is a Huge investment, so I wonder why people believe cheaper is always better?

Do your research. ask for referrals from your local realtor, neighbors, people who actually have had work done in their home.
HG TV is not reality and they make it look very easy.
I notice everyone is a contractor……… I would have to say that I can not recommend  a lot of those lists that are out on line as contractors can pay to be on most sites.. The best referral is from real people in your community.

Ask
How long have they been in business?
Are they insured and how long is their warranty coverage for the work.
Contact  some of their references.

Update your home so you can enjoy  the upgrade  as you know , you do not always get full money back  so do it for your self too.

But please.. you are letting someone make adjustments to your large investment, choose wisely and choose a true full time professional.  Better safe than sorry.

These are my thoughts and opinions . Have a great day from forthooddreamhomes.com

Neigborhood?

I know that it is not always a
sure thing when you choose a
neighborhood, but look around.
Are you moving into a home next
to someone who does not take care of their yard? Does it look like they
are taking care of their home?

When you go to sell your home then you  may wonder why no one is choosing your home.

Don't start out on the wrong foot.

  • Do your research on the neighborhood and schools
  • Drive by during peak hours when most people are home to see the true picture of activity.
  • ENJOY YOUR HOME, FOR IT IS A HUGE INVESTMENT!

Think before you List

PART TIME REALTOR?

YOU SHOUD PROBABLY THINK Maybe this worked out in the past but those days are long gone. Especially in this Fort Hood area Market. Always keep in mind that markets are regional. Realtors don't  make the prices , the market does.
Would you hire a part time surgeon? Marketing properties has become full time. A Realtor must be sharp with their marketing and tech skills. It is so highly competitive.  There are so many house on the market. With interest being record lows, it seems to be driving people to purchase new construction, prices seem to be low too. Resale must compete. Real Estate is a full time job and your Realtor must be available to take phone calls and email leads and keep up with the trending websites. I have an example.
